Why this exists
This app was built to solve a very specific weekly routine: reading spelling words and dictation passages again and again, for more than one child. 🇸🇬
It reads the words and passages out loud with proper pacing and pauses, so kids can practise even when the adults are busy (or just need five minutes of peace).
How to use
- Select the level and test.
- For dictation: choose Silent(Student expected to recall from memory) or Full (sentence-by-sentence).
- Use Repeat and Next to control pacing. No auto-advance.
- For Chinese pinyin items, the reader will announce “汉语拼音题” before reading the phrase.
Tip: For late-night practice, set screen brightness low and use headphones.
Disclaimer
This is a parent-made helper tool for practice. It is not an official school product and is not affiliated with any school or MOE.
- Accuracy: Test content is manually entered/transcribed. Mistakes can happen.
- Pronunciation: Audio is generated by your device’s Text-to-Speech engine. Pronunciation may vary by phone/browser and may occasionally be imperfect.
- Results: This app does not mark answers or store scores. It is meant for listening practice and repetition.
- Availability: Service may be unavailable if my server is offline.
Use this as a convenience tool, not as the single source of truth. When in doubt, follow the teacher’s materials.
